Content is moderated and submission guidelines will be strictly enforced (this ensures that the authors, and those that appreciate them, all receive maximum enjoyment and benefit from this group). This group is limited to content dealing with the PUBLISHED work of Gather members. Work may be published through traditional means, or self-published/vanity press. However, with the exception of Amazon Shorts, all work must be printed, bound and readily available for purchase. General Submission Guidelines 1) Any member can submit content to the group. However, the focus of that content must be the published work of a Gather member. 2) All content published to the group must include the author's membername as a tag (membername.gather.com). Your membername is the 2-16 character name which appears prior to gather.com in your namespace address (URL). 3) Mature content must be appropriately identified. 4) Content must be published to 'everyone'. 5) All other submission guidelines below must be followed. Note: There is no restriction on publishing your article or image to other groups. Article Submission Guidelines All articles must: 1) Contain at least one uploaded image of the book cover, or other commercial representational image. You may include as many images as you like, but one image must appear with your article in the group's article listing. 2) Include an excerpt (one paragraph minimum), and a short summary of the work. Articles with limited content may not be accepted. 3) Follow the general submission guidelines above. Note: If your book or short story is available commercially on Amazon, eBay, or if your work is being featured or sold elsewhere on the web, be sure to include a link AND the ISBN. However, please try and keep the link current, and be aware that overt 'selling' of your work will lead to your article being declined from the group. To be featured in the group, articles must: 1) Tell us all about your book or short story! The more information you provide, the more likely it is that your article and book will be featured. Share your inspiration for the book, your trials and your successes in getting it published or deciding where and how to publish. Discuss your cover art, or other illustrations. Basically, reveal the 'story behind the story'.....and be as detailed as you like. Image Submission Guidelines All images must: 1) Be associated with an article, which has also been published to the group. You may publish images separately, but ideally there must be an article in the group that provides some level of detail pertaining to your book or short story. 2) Follow the general submission guidelines above.
